The Holy Prophet said on the importance of mosques
O ye people, praise Allah. Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah, The Exalted, shall build a house for such a one in paradise.
To Allah, the most adored places are the mosques and the most undesirable places are market places.
Mosques are the houses of Allah and those believers who enter therein are the guests of Allah.
Those who visit the mosques in darkness convey to them the good news that Allah shall bestow upon them from Himself perfect light on the day of judgment.
For him who makes his ablutions at home and then walks to one of the houses of Allah to discharge his obligations imposed on him by Allah, one single step of his towards the mosque wipes out a sin and next step raises his status.
Whenever anyone of you enters a mosque let him pray that "O Allah open up for me the doors of Thy Mercy"; and whenever anyone from among you leaves a mosque, let him pray " O Allah, I seek from Thee Thy blessings".
Of all the buildings the most beautiful and attractive in Allah's sight is a Mosque
About Us:
The North Austin Muslim Community Center (NAMCC) was founded in approximately
1992. Prayers were offered initially at a rented building. The current
property of three buildings located on five acres of land was purchased
during 1996. One of the building was renovated toward the end of that year
to be used as mosque. Other two buildings were renovated the following
year to be used for Sunday School and guest quarter.
NAMCC is a registered non-profit organization
and the property has been registered with NAIT (North American Islamic
Trust) as belonging to the Islamic community of Austin (wafq). Muslim population
of North Austin has seen tremendous growth by the grace of Allah (SWT)
in recent years and it is expected to continue growing for the next several
years.
Objective:
The NAMCC functions for the worship of Allah (SWT) and the advancement
of Islam in Austin. We would like to encourage the community to come to
the mosque as a place to offer prayers to Allah (SWT), gain knowledge on
Islam and get to know your brothers and sisters in the community. The Prophet
(SAW) emphasized throughout his life the importance of breaking down ethnic
/ tribal / language barriers and uniting the whole of the muslim world
as a single ummat (following). Everyone of us must try to achieve that
in our Austin community right now. Inshallah, we look forward to seeing
you at your mosque.
