Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good, and to Us you will be returned.

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إذا مات الإنسان انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاث صدقة جارية وعلم ينتفع به وولد صالح يدعو له رواه الترمذي
Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "When the son of Adam dies, all his actions (that generate good deeds and reward for him) are stopped except for three things: Continuous Charity (i.e like building a Mosque or a school), Beneficial Knowledge that he left behind, that people can use in good work (i.e. such as scholars ..) and a righteous offspring who makes Dua (supplications and prayers) for him"
